WIP Wednesday

This week has just dragged on forever with being stuck in a classroom for eight hours a day.  It seems that when I don't have the time to do what I want, that's the precise moment my mojo kicks in and I want to work on a hundred things all at once.

Yet again, I'm writing this on Tuesday morning scheduled to post at midnight eastern time US.  So in your mind, it was last night that I had my first training night on the phones.  Which I will post about that later today to let you know how badly I screwed up.

A few inches were added to the body of my yet-to-be grandson's sweater.  I've been working on this during my break at work.  It's a basic top down raglan sleeve pattern from a Leisure Arts book I've had since before my daughter was born.  Plenty of time to finish this since the baby isn't due til December.

I finished the sweater and hat, I was working on for my granddaughter that my daughter is scheduled for a c-section on Friday.  I found a last skein of some superwash merino that I had dyed awhile back and started some leggings using this pattern from Lion Brand.  It's knitted flat, one leg at time, then sewn together.  While I was knitting this it looked too wide for pants for a tiny baby, until......

I folded it in half and it looks to be perfect for a baby.  I'm knitting the 3-6 month size, so cross fingers I will get it finished while she's still small enough to wear it.  A pink or purple onesie should go great with these little polka dot leggings.  I need to fight off SOS, shiny object syndrome.  Oooh cross stitch.

Something exciting is going to happen the end of this month. (Exciting for me.)  Duane turns 50 on the 29th.  My newer readers won't understand, but those of you who held my hand through this winter do.  Since he almost didn't live to see this birthday.  I'm taking the day off, by hook or crook or call in sick.  He just needs to pick the place he wants to go for dinner.  Some place nice.  When I asked him last month where he wanted to go, he said he's having a craving for Wendy's.  I'm not celebrating a birthday at Wendy's.  I've since taken him there twice, so hopefully we have gotten that out of our system.

Occasionally, I'm getting messages from people wondering how Dammit bunny is doing, since his near fatal illness in July.  He's doing great.  I've spoken to him and he says he wants to write a post on Thursday as he has some things he wants to tell his fans.  Be sure to stop by on Thursday for Dammit posting.

Thanks for stopping by.  For more WIPS go over to Tami's Amis.

Love the baby knitted stuff!! Hope we get to see photos of the babies in these things! That's awesome about the new baby boy, too!

That is way cool that Duane will have his big five-oh at the end of the month! Dayle's bd is on the 25th and my little sister's is on Halloween!

I'm so glad he made it through all that! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

It's so much fun listening to you contemplating a birthday dinner and a post from your bunny -- quite a change from a few months ago! Enjoy every second of it!

YAY, I love this post because I haven't had a chance to check your blog recently and am SO excited to hear that hubby and Dammit are doing great!

I agree, Wendy's does not count as a dinner place for his bday! It needs to be something a LITTLE nicer. :)

Isn't that always the case. When I don't have the time to knit/crochet, I have all the ideas and when I have the time, I don't want to work on anything.

I'm so excited about Duane's birthday! Tracy(Car Guy) turns 49 this month. He want's country style steak and mashed taters. So I guess that's a step up from Wendy's :) Can't wait to hear how work is going!

I have a friend who sounds exactly like your husband, he'd eat at Wendy's for every meal if he could!

Isn't it amazing how big baby items look on the actual baby. You forget how tiny they are...and how fast they grow.

Congrats on the upcoming grandchildren.
