Just a quick post this week. I had to call an ambulance this morning for D. He's been very sick since last Thursday. This morning, I knew he wouldn't make it there by bus, especially as he didn't argue about me calling an ambulance. They admitted him with double pneumonia and are running more tests. His oxygen levels are still pretty low even with full oxygen mask. I'll keep you updated.
Work continues on my blue merino/angora/silk handspun cardi.
I'm glad I picked a simple lace pattern. This gives me something to do and keep my mind occupied while sitting with him up at the hospital. I think I might have made the bust section a bit too long and may need to rip back and start again. You knew I would find a reason to keep this project going a bit longer. The same thing happened with Maude. I'll not worry about it know and just keep knitting on it for awhile longer. Yes, that would be more to rip back if need be, but more time spent with the process. I LOVE this yarn.
It's interesting the way it's striping out. I was going for a blue opal look to this yarn when I dyed and spun the fiber.
There was no Saturday Stitching post this week, as I think that's when I started coming down with same cold. I procrastinated about procrastinating doing stuff. I am the queen of procrastination, but that was a bit much. I finally got around to working a bit on the stitching by late Saturday night and worked on my dahlias for a few days.
I'm headed back up to the hospital to sit with him for a bit. Please send us positive thoughts or prayers. I'll keep you updated on how things are going.

I'm sorry to hear D isn't feeling well. Prayers going out that the antibiotics and doctors do their job.
I hope your husband is feeling better. 3 years ago I was rushed to the hospital with double pneumonia as well, so I feel for him. I was on several different medications but the one that seemed to do the trick was the Z-pack. They made me sick stomach-wise but helped the pneumonia.
I hope your husband starts feeling better soon and that there isn't anything else added on to the double pneumonia. I know double pneumonia is pretty bad, but hopefully nothing else gets happens and he gets better and home as soon as possible.
I hope everything is okay- that can be serious.
I'm so sorry that D is so sick. I hope they take good care of him at the hospital and that he gets well soon. Knitting is perfect for that waiting time, and yours is beautiful.
Denise.. I'm so sorry about D.. I am sure they'll get him fixed up fast, but hospitalization is no fun at all. When my husband was getting his last post-cancer colonoscopy I was crocheting on my rainbow granny square afghan and everyone in the waiting room was oohing and ahing over it. Hang in there and keep us posted. ((B((E((A((R(( You ))H))U))G))
Hey Sweetie, I hope D is better real soon. There's nothing worse than a sick man. I'll be sending prayers and healing vibes your way. Keep us posted....by the way, the sweater is looking gorgeous.

Good wishes to you and D while he's recovering. I'm glad the sweater is helping you cope with it all.
Sending lots of positive thought D's way. Make sure you take care of yourself too. (the cardi looks gorgeous)
I'm glad you have some lovely yarn to comfort you at the hospital. I hope D makes a speedy recovery and is back at home with you soon.
